Remove your name from Google search results in Singapore
When a search for your name brings up a doxxing thread, an exposure post, an intimate image or your contact details, NetClearer gets those pages removed where they are hosted and asks Google to delist them under its policies. Each result is assessed free, honestly. Removal is S$42 per link, fixed price, no extra fees.

What people see when they google you
Recruiters, HR teams, landlords, clients and dates in Singapore often search a name before meeting someone. The first page then does the talking: a LinkedIn profile is harmless, but an EDMW thread titled with your full name, a Stomp post about an incident or an r/SingaporeRaw discussion of your private life can cost you a job offer or a tenancy.
Your name itself cannot be removed from Google. Specific results can, and when the worst ones go, the first page changes.
No right to be forgotten in Singapore
Singapore has no general right to erasure. The PDPA binds organisations only, excludes individuals acting in a personal capacity (s 4(1)(a)), and does not let you ask Google to delist a result because it is old or unflattering. Delisting under the European GDPR is available only to people resident in the EU.
So a service promising to “erase your name” is overselling. Google removes results under its own global policies, and websites remove pages under their own rules or after a legal demand. We work within those two routes.
Results that Google does remove
- Intimate images shared without consent, through Google’s dedicated forms, including one for AI-generated images: see intimate image removal
- Doxxing: contact details shown with threats or a compilation of information about you: see doxxing removal
- Contact details: phone number, home address or personal email
- Identity and financial numbers: Google’s form lists a “Resident ID card number”, which covers an NRIC or FIN, plus bank and card numbers and images of signatures or ID documents
- Images of minors, at the request of the minor or a parent
- Sites that demand payment to take down content about people
Results outside these categories, such as an opinion or a news report, generally go only if the website deletes or edits the page. Google’s self-service “Results about you” tool is not confirmed for Singapore, so we use its standard forms.
How we work on your name
- Free assessment. Send your name, its variants (English and Chinese names, initials, nicknames) and the results that worry you through the contact form. Within 24 hours we review the first pages of Google Search and Google Images.
- Sorting. Each result goes into one of three groups: removable from Google, removable at the source, or unlikely to go. You see this, with a fixed price, before paying.
- Source removal. We contact platforms, forum moderators and site owners with a private-information, harassment or false-statement request, depending on the content.
- Delisting. We file the Google requests that apply, one per URL, and ask Google to refresh results for pages that were deleted or edited.
- Follow-up. We search your name again after the decisions and report what changed. We never contact your employer or family.
Forum threads, Stomp posts and news stories
Many name results in Singapore come from local forums and reader-submitted posts. A HardwareZone or Reddit thread can be removed by moderators when it breaks their rules on personal attacks or private information; see forum post removal. A news article is harder: publishers remove or anonymise stories only in specific cases, explained on news article removal.
If a post states false facts about you, POHA ss 15A to 15E let the Protection from Harassment Court order the poster to stop or correct it, and s 15C allows a disabling order against the platform; the filing fee is S$30. We are not a law firm and give no legal advice; we tell you when that route makes sense.
The Online Safety Commission and your name
If the results come from doxxing or intimate image abuse, citizens, PRs and valid pass holders can report directly to the OSC for free; harassment and stalking go to the platform first. Statements harmful to reputation and disclosure of private information are planned for later phases of the Online Safety (Relief and Accountability) Act 2025, with no date set. The OSC has not said publicly how it handles search engines, so for Google results we file Google’s own requests.
Frequently asked questions
Can you push negative results down instead?
Our service is removal: we get pages deleted or delisted. Results we cannot remove may slip when the worst pages disappear, but we do not promise rankings. If a result stays, we tell you why and whether another route, such as a lawyer’s letter or a POHA order, could work.
Can you remove results under my Chinese name too?
Yes. Give us every spelling and script people use to search for you, including dialect romanisations. Chinese-language pages on forums, Xiaohongshu or news sites are assessed like the others, although some sites respond less predictably to requests.
How long before my search results look different?
Single-link requests start within 48 hours. Google often decides in days; forum removals depend on moderators. Timing varies from site to site, so we send progress updates and keep following up until each link has a final answer.
What if I share my name with someone else?
We only request removal of pages that are about you. Results about a namesake are not ours to touch, and we point them out so you know which results people may confuse with you. You only pay for links we work on.
