Remove fake LinkedIn profiles, pages and job posts

A profile uses your name and photo to contact your network, a “recruiter” claims to hire for your company, or a page copies your brand to post fake jobs? NetClearer reports each one under the LinkedIn policy it breaks, with proof from you or your organisation, and follows up until LinkedIn decides. S$42 per link, no extra fees, free assessment first.

LinkedIn fakes in a regional hiring hub

LinkedIn’s advertising audience in Singapore is about 5.1 million (DataReportal Digital 2026), almost every working adult. Singapore is a regional base for many multinationals, so a well-known employer name in a job post or a recruiter’s headline is persuasive, and scammers know it.

Job scams were among the top five scam types by number of cases in 2025, in a year when the Singapore Police Force recorded 37,308 scams and S$913.1 million lost. A LinkedIn profile is often the first contact: a polished recruiter, a “hiring manager” at a real company, or a senior executive whose face and title have been copied.

What we report on LinkedIn

  • Cloned personal profiles: your photo, name and career copied to send connection requests and messages to your colleagues and clients.
  • Impersonated executives: a fake profile of your CEO, HR director or founder, used to approach staff, candidates or suppliers.
  • Fake recruiters: profiles claiming to work for your company, offering interviews, then moving candidates to WhatsApp or Telegram and asking for fees or ID documents.
  • Bogus company pages using your name and logo, sometimes with a slightly altered spelling, to look established or publish jobs.
  • Fraudulent job posts: non-existent roles, “task” jobs and advance-fee offers that damage your employer brand when victims complain to you.

LinkedIn’s report routes

Most refused LinkedIn reports pick a vague reason or come from someone who cannot show the link between the real person and the fake. LinkedIn does not tell a reported member who flagged them.

  1. Profile report. From the profile’s More menu, choose Report or block, then the whole account, then “This person is impersonating someone” or “This account is not a real person”.
  2. If you have no account, or the fake claims your company. LinkedIn’s Help Center has request forms for impersonation and for profiles falsely claiming to work for an organisation; they ask for an explanation and supporting documents, such as confirmation that the person has never been employed there.
  3. Company pages and job posts. A fake page is reported from its own menu as impersonation or fraud; a job post through its “Report this job” option. A copied trademark adds a trademark complaint.
  4. Escalation. If the fake is still live after the first decision, we re-submit with side-by-side screenshots, your genuine profile or page, and any messages sent to victims.

Verification badges help real profiles stand out but do not remove a fake.

For Singapore employers and HR teams

A company cannot report to the Online Safety Commission (OSC) in its own name, and impersonation is a later-phase harm under the Online Safety (Relief and Accountability) Act 2025 with no start date. LinkedIn is not among the six prescribed platforms either, so its own policies decide. We act for the business with a signed authorisation, never with your page admin login: we compile your ACRA details, official domain, trademark and an HR letter confirming who is and is not an employee, then file every fake recruiter, page and post as one documented case.

We also suggest a careers-page notice that you never charge fees or move interviews to messaging apps. Victims who lost money should lodge a police report and call the ScamShield Helpline on 1799.

For individuals whose profile was copied

If a clone of your profile also harasses you, stalks you or publishes your personal details, that part is covered by the OSC, which is free for citizens, PRs and valid pass holders, including EP, S Pass and Dependant’s Pass holders. Harassment must be reported to LinkedIn first, with proof of that report. For a clone used only to deceive others, we handle the LinkedIn reports, look for copies on Facebook or Instagram (see fake account removal), and keep dated evidence. Steps and price

  1. Send the links confidentially through the contact form (Messenger is a second option): profiles, pages or job posts, plus any messages received.
  2. Free assessment within 24 hours, with the route for each link and the fixed price. Payment by card via Stripe only if you go ahead.
  3. Reports filed within 48 hours for one link (S$42), 36 hours for three (S$99), 24 hours for ten (S$286, with a removal report).
  4. Follow-up and monitoring. We chase each case to a decision; the 20-link pack (S$501) and monthly plans from S$113 include monitoring for new fakes.

Fixed prices, no extra fees. We promise actions and timelines, not LinkedIn’s decision, and we never contact your employer, clients or family without your agreement. See pricing and all platforms we cover.

Frequently asked questions

Can I report a fake LinkedIn profile without an account?

Yes. LinkedIn has Help Center forms for people who cannot report from inside the platform, and a colleague with an account can also use the profile’s report option. We prepare the explanation and evidence so both routes tell the same story.

Someone is posting jobs in our company’s name. What do you need?

The links to the fake page, recruiter profiles and job posts, your registered company name, website domain and, if you have one, your trademark. A short HR letter confirming the people are not employees makes the reports much harder to refuse.

Will the fake profile owner know who reported it?

No. LinkedIn states that reported members are not told who flagged them. Requests made as the impersonated person or company include your details for LinkedIn only; nothing is published, and we never ask for your LinkedIn password.

Our CEO is impersonated every few weeks. Is there a long-term fix?

No single report stops a determined scammer, but fast reports shorten each fake’s life. A monthly plan from S$113 includes regular searches for new profiles using your executives’ names and photos, reported with the same evidence file each time.

Tell us what’s happening. We’ll take it from here.

Free, confidential assessment. Send the links through the form: we reply within 24 hours with the route and the fixed S$ price.
