Protect your shop on Carousell, Shopee, Lazada and Marketplace
NetClearer helps Singapore sellers named in false scam accusations, hit by fake ratings or copied by fake shops on Carousell, Shopee, Lazada and Facebook Marketplace. We report what breaks each platform’s rules, handle the forum posts and Google results, and leave genuine feedback alone. S$29 per review, S$42 per post, no extra fees.

Why trust is fragile for Singapore sellers
Buyers here are wary for good reason. E-commerce scams were the most common scam type by number of cases in 2025, out of 37,308 scam cases costing S$913.1 million (Singapore Police Force, February 2026). Carousell suspended 52,000 Singapore accounts in 2025 while reporting 99.97% of local transactions scam-free (Carousell Scam Trends Report 2025).
An honest seller can still be labelled a scammer after a courier delay, a dispute about condition, or a rival’s campaign. One “scammer alert” post on a Facebook group, r/singapore or EDMW can follow your username and shop name in Google for years.
Problems we solve for sellers
- False scammer posts in Facebook groups, Reddit or HardwareZone threads, often with your photo, username and phone number. See forum post removal.
- Fake or retaliatory ratings from accounts that never bought from you, or from a competitor. Carousell has its own page: Carousell review removal.
- Copycat shops reusing your product photos, shop name or logo to sell fakes or take payment and vanish.
- Personal data in reviews: your home address, NRIC or private number posted by an angry buyer.
- Blackmail ratings: “refund me or I leave one star”.
Platform by platform
We use official report routes only, from outside your account. Asking a platform to arbitrate a delivery dispute usually fails; pointing to a specific rule (fake account, abuse, personal data, impersonation) with order records attached works far better.
- Carousell. Listings, users and reviews can be reported in the app; we report copied listings and abusive or fake feedback, attaching your chat and transaction history.
- Shopee and Lazada. Product and shop reports cover counterfeit and copycat listings; ratings containing abuse, threats or unrelated photos can be flagged under each platform’s review rules.
- Facebook Marketplace. Buyers, sellers and listings can each be reported to Meta under its Community Standards, so impersonation and harassment rules apply. See Facebook removal.
- Forums and Google. Threads go to moderators or the operator; once a post is removed, we ask Google to update or drop the result.
Fake reviews, Singapore law and the OSC
On 30 September 2026 the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCS) announced action, under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act and the Competition Act 2004, against a fake-review provider and 45 businesses that bought reviews on Google, Facebook, Tripadvisor, Carousell, Yelp and Trustpilot. They must remove the fake reviews and display apologies for six months. The CCS treats fake reviews as a misleading practice under CPFTA s 4.
So fake ratings against your shop are a recognised problem, and buying your own is a real legal risk. We act only on ratings that are fake, abusive, off-topic, from a conflict of interest, contain personal data or are used for blackmail. Honest criticism stays; we never post, buy or trade reviews.
The Online Safety Commission does not take reports from a company in its own name, and reviews are not among its harms. But if a buyer posts your own home address or NRIC to target you, that can be doxxing, and you as an individual (citizen, PR or valid pass holder) can report it to the OSC for free. A false scam accusation against you may also support a false-statement order under POHA through the Protection from Harassment Court. NetClearer is not a law firm; for those routes, see a lawyer.
How it works
- Free assessment. Send your shop link and the posts or ratings through the contact form (Messenger is a second option). We tell you what qualifies, by which route, and the fixed price.
- Signed authorisation. You sign a short authorisation so we can contact the platform on your behalf. We never ask for your password and are never added to your seller account.
- Reports and follow-up. Each item is filed under the rule it breaks, with order and chat records as evidence: within 48 hours for one item, 24 hours with a ten-pack.
- Report back. You receive the result per link; ten-link packs include a written removal report.

Frequently asked questions
A buyer called me a scammer in a Facebook group after a late delivery. Can you remove it?
Often, yes, if the post names you, shows your photo or number, or makes an accusation your records contradict. We report it to Meta and ask the group admins to remove it, using your chat and delivery records. If the dispute is still open, settling it through the platform first makes removal easier.
Will you remove a genuine one-star rating?
No. A real customer’s honest opinion, even a harsh one, stays. We act only on ratings that break the platform’s rules: fake accounts, competitors, abuse, personal data, off-topic content or blackmail. A calm, factual reply to genuine criticism usually does more for your shop than hiding it.
Someone copied my Carousell listings and photos. What can you do?
We report the copied listings and the account to Carousell with your original listings and dates as proof. If they also appear on Shopee, Lazada or Facebook Marketplace, we report them there. Copyright in your own product photos strengthens the case; buyers who paid the copycat should report to the police and ScamShield.
Do you need access to my seller account?
No. We work with a signed authorisation and contact the platform directly on your behalf. We are never added as a manager or staff member, and we never ask for your login details or one-time passwords.
