Remove a Booking.com guest review from your Singapore property
Booking.com’s content guidelines rule out reviews that do not describe a real stay, are unrelated to the travel experience, contain threats or expose someone’s personal data. NetClearer matches each problem review to those guidelines, gathers your reservation proof and contacts Booking.com directly for your Singapore property, under a signed authorisation. S$29 per review, no extra fees.

Reviews that break the guidelines
For hotels, hostels and serviced apartments in Singapore, the breaches we see most often fall into four groups:
- Not a real stay: the author cancelled, never arrived, or cannot be matched to any reservation.
- Off-topic: political rants, complaints about a neighbouring hawker centre or mall, or self-promotion unrelated to the stay.
- Personal data: a staff member’s full name with a phone number, a passport or NRIC number, card details, or images of children.
- Threats and abuse: intimidation, harassment, hate speech or obscene language aimed at staff or other guests.
A review used as leverage, such as a guest demanding a free night in exchange for a better score, needs written proof: keep the messages. A guest who simply found the room noisy or the breakfast weak is within the rules, and that review stays.
Why requests are refused, and what we do differently
Partner requests usually fail because they dispute the guest’s opinion, because they say “fake” without reservation data, or because they bundle several complaints into one vague message. Booking.com then has nothing to check.
We send one request per review, name the guideline breached, quote the exact words or attach the booking status (cancelled, no-show, never matched), and include the guest’s messages when the review was used to pressure you. If the answer overlooks the evidence, we ask for a second look with the specific point it missed; we do not resend the same request to wear the platform down.
What happens after you contact us
- Free assessment. Send the review links or screenshots through the contact form, or on Messenger. We tell you which reviews have a basis and which do not.
- Order. You pay by card through Stripe for the reviews we agreed to take on.
- Reservation proof. Your front office exports the booking status and any messages from the guest.
- Authorisation without login. You sign an authorisation for us to act for the property. We do not need your extranet credentials, are never added as a user, and your team never has to file the request itself.
- Request and decision. We contact Booking.com directly, follow up, and send you the decision on each review.
Singapore context
On 30 September 2026 the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCS) acted against 45 businesses and a fake-review provider under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act and the Competition Act 2004, ordering them to remove their fake reviews and display apologies for six months. That cuts both ways: we only challenge reviews that break the rules, and we never post, buy or reward reviews for anyone.
Reviews about a business are outside the Online Safety Commission’s remit, and a company cannot report in its own name. If a review publishes a staff member’s home address or phone number, that employee, whether a citizen, PR or pass holder, can report the doxxing to the Commission free of charge, while we deal with Booking.com for the property.
Price, other channels and next step
1 review S$29, 3 reviews S$78, 10 reviews S$214. Fixed prices, no extra fees, secure card payment via Stripe. We commit to the request and the follow-up; Booking.com decides. There are no refunds, so the assessment comes first.
The same method applies to Agoda reviews and Tripadvisor reviews. Send the review links for a free assessment, or see all platforms on the fake review removal page and all packs on the pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
The guest cancelled but still left a review. Is that allowed?
A review is meant to describe a stay, and someone who cancelled before arrival cannot describe one. Your reservation record showing the cancellation is the key evidence; we attach it to the request so Booking.com can check it quickly rather than weigh your word against the guest’s.
Can a low score be removed without the text?
A low score on its own, given by a guest who really stayed, does not break any guideline, so it stays even if you find it unfair. What can be challenged is who wrote it and what it says. When the review complies, the best tool left is a short, factual reply from the property.
Do you need our extranet password?
Never. We work under a signed authorisation from the property and contact Booking.com directly. Your team keeps exclusive control of the extranet, rates, availability and replies, you do not add us as a user, and nobody on your side has to file anything.
What if Booking.com refuses?
We explain the reason given. If the decision overlooked evidence, we ask for it to be reviewed again with that evidence highlighted. If the review simply complies with the rules, we tell you so plainly and suggest how to answer it publicly instead of filing the same request again.
