Remove a Reddit post about you
A post in r/singapore, r/SingaporeRaw or an NSFW subreddit names you, exposes your details or shares private images? NetClearer reports it to the subreddit moderators and to Reddit itself under the matching sitewide rule, follows up, then asks Google to drop the removed URLs. Send the links for a free assessment: S$42 per link, no extra fees.

Reddit in Singapore is bigger than most people think
Reddit was the fourth most visited website in Singapore in August 2026, with about 37 million visits that month according to Semrush. Third-party trackers count around 1.8 million members in r/singapore, about 367,000 in r/askSingapore and 129,000 in r/SingaporeRaw. Viral incidents, workplace disputes and relationship drama are discussed there in detail, and Reddit threads rank highly on Google, so a post about you can follow your name for years.
Two levels of moderation, two ways to get a post removed
Each subreddit is run by volunteer moderators who enforce their own rules. Above them, Reddit’s admins enforce the sitewide Reddit Rules. Either level can remove a post, so we report to both:
- Subreddit moderators, reached through the report button and modmail, can remove a post within hours when it breaks the community’s rules on personal attacks, witch-hunts or naming private individuals.
- Reddit admins, reached through Reddit’s report form (reddit.com/report), act on harassment, posting someone’s personal or confidential information, intimate media shared without consent and misleading impersonation. They remove content across Reddit and suspend accounts.
- Choosing the right reason matters most. A doxxing comment reported as “spam” is usually dismissed; the same comment reported as personal information, with the exact passage quoted, usually is not.
What we report on Reddit
- Doxxing: a full name with workplace, HDB block, licence plate or phone number, often in a comment rather than the post itself
- Naming and shaming threads that invite users to find or contact a person, for example after a viral Grab or MRT incident
- Leaked or sexualised images in NSFW subreddits, including AI-generated ones, reported as non-consensual intimate media
- Screenshots of private chats that expose a third party’s identity
- Impersonation: an account using your name or photos
- False claims about a business or employer presented as facts
For leaked images on Reddit and elsewhere, see removing a leaked video, which covers the wider spread.
How we work on a Reddit removal
- Assessment, reply within 24 hours. Send the post and comment links through the contact form. We check which subreddit rule and which Reddit Rule each one breaks.
- Evidence. We save the thread, usernames, permalinks and timestamps before anything is deleted, because deleted Reddit comments leave little trace.
- Moderator report. We report each item and, where useful, send the moderators a short factual modmail. Action starts within 48 hours of payment.
- Admin report. We file the matching report with Reddit itself, so the content can go even if the moderators side with the poster.
- After deletion. A removed post can still show in Google and on Reddit mirror sites. We request refreshes and report the copies.
Reddit, the OSC and Singapore law
The Online Safety Commission (OSC) takes doxxing and intimate image reports directly, and harassment or stalking once you have reported to Reddit and it has not responded adequately within 24 hours. It is free, open to citizens, PRs and valid pass holders, and its directions can reach platforms outside Singapore. One limit to know: if an overseas platform does not comply, the remedy is blocking access in Singapore, so the post stays visible abroad and through a VPN. That is why we also work on removal at the source.
Since 17 August 2026 the Penal Code covers AI-generated intimate images explicitly: producing one without consent is an offence under s 377BD(5), and deepfakes count as intimate images for the distribution offence in s 377BE. We are not lawyers and give no legal advice; we use the rules as arguments in our reports.
Prices
Each post, comment thread or mirror is one link at S$42, with action started within 48 hours. Larger cases fit a pack: 3 links S$99, 10 links S$286 with a removal report, or 20 links S$501 with monitoring for reposts. Fixed prices, no extra fees, secure card payment via Stripe. See pricing or our wider page on forum posts about you.
Frequently asked questions
The user deleted the post but my name still shows on Google. Why?
Google keeps its copy until it recrawls the page, and a deleted Reddit post can leave the title and other comments visible. We ask Google to refresh the result and check mirror sites that archive Reddit. Most results update once the page shows nothing about you.
Can moderators refuse to remove a post?
Yes, moderators decide on their own rules. That is why we also report to Reddit’s admins under the sitewide rules, which apply in every subreddit. If both refuse, we tell you honestly what remains, such as an OSC report or a lawyer’s letter.
Will the poster find out I complained?
Reports on Reddit are not shown to the person reported, and modmail is seen by the moderators only. We never comment in the thread, which would draw attention and new replies, and we never contact your employer or family.
Can you get a whole subreddit removed?
Reddit can ban subreddits built to share intimate media without consent or to harass people. We report the specific posts about you first, which is faster, and add a report on the community itself when the whole subreddit exists for that content.
