Remove forum posts and threads about you
A thread about you on HardwareZone, a post in r/singapore or a pile of comments under a Stomp story? NetClearer reports each post under the rule it breaks, escalates to the operator when moderators do nothing, and removes the leftover Google results. Send the links for a free assessment: S$42 per link, no extra fees.

Why forum threads hurt more than the original story
A news report is written once. A forum thread keeps growing: users guess your employer, link your Instagram, post old photos and repeat claims nobody checked. HardwareZone and Reddit pages rank well, so the thread is often what an employer, landlord or new partner sees first when they search your name.
In MDDI surveys published in October 2025, 84% of residents said they had met harmful content online in the past year; only 46% reported it to the platform, and many said the platform took five days or more to act.
The forums we work on
- HardwareZone, including EDMW: a prescribed platform under the Online Safety (Relief and Accountability) Act 2025, which must act on online harm notices for harassment or doxxing within 48 hours. See removing a HardwareZone thread.
- Reddit: r/singapore, r/askSingapore, r/SingaporeRaw and NSFW subreddits, with volunteer moderators and Reddit’s own admins above them. See removing a Reddit post about you.
- Stomp: reader comments and follow-up contributions under a “caught on camera” post, handled with the editors. See Stomp removals.
- Mirrors and archives: scrapers, archive snapshots and screenshot reposts in Facebook pages or Telegram channels that keep a thread alive after the original is gone.
Which posts can be taken down
Forums do not remove criticism because it is unpleasant. They act on posts that break their rules or the law. We sort every link into one category before reporting it:
- Doxxing: your NRIC or FIN, HDB block and unit, phone number, workplace or a family member’s details, posted to expose you. This is an offence under POHA s 3(1)(c), and s 5(1A) where it invites violence.
- Harassment and pile-ons: repeated posts aimed at one person, or calls to find, contact or confront them.
- False statements of fact: accusations of crimes, affairs or scams that are untrue; the Protection from Harassment Court can order a correction or a stop to publication.
- Intimate or sexualised content: images, links to leaked material or degrading threads about a named person. See our page on leaked videos.
- Impersonation: an account posting under your name or with your photos.
Opinion about something you really did in public usually stays up. We say so plainly during the assessment.
The Online Safety Commission and forum posts
Since 29 June 2026 the Online Safety Commission (OSC) can direct a poster, a group administrator or a platform to take content down. Doxxing goes straight to the OSC. For harassment and stalking you must report to the forum first and attach proof of that report; the OSC steps in if the forum does not respond adequately within 24 hours. In September 2026 a doxxing post was removed from a forum by an Access Disabling Direction.
The OSC is free and open to citizens, PRs and holders of a valid pass, from Work Permit to Dependant’s Pass. It asks for proof of identity (NRIC or pass), the URLs and screenshots showing dates and times. It does not accept anonymous reports or reports by companies, and false statements and reputation harms are not in force yet.
We cover those gaps, old threads, archive copies and Google results, and we can prepare the dated evidence file for an OSC report or a court application.
Our method, step by step
- Free assessment, reply within 24 hours. Send the thread links through the contact form, or on Messenger. We read the whole thread, not only the first post.
- Evidence first. We save dated screenshots and archive copies before anything changes, so you keep proof after removal.
- Reports under the forum’s rules. Each post is reported with the rule it breaks and the exact passage. Vague reports such as “this is about me, please delete” are the main reason moderators do nothing.
- Escalation. If moderators ignore the report, we go to the operator or Reddit’s admins, and cite the prescribed-platform duties where they apply.
- Google clean-up. Deleted threads linger in results. We request a refresh of each URL and handle mirrors that copied it.
Prices for forum work
Each thread, post or mirror is one link at S$42, with action started within 48 hours. A thread that spread usually needs a pack: 3 links S$99, 10 links S$286 within 24 hours with a removal report, 20 links S$501 with monitoring in case the thread is reposted. Fixed prices, no extra fees, and we never post in the thread or contact anyone you know. See the pricing page; for the coverage itself, see news article removal.
Frequently asked questions
The poster is anonymous. Can the thread still be removed?
Yes. Removal depends on what the post says, not on who wrote it. If you later want to sue, the Online Safety (Relief and Accountability) Act lets a victim apply for the poster’s identity, an end-user identity application made within 12 months, for the purpose of legal action.
Will the people in the thread notice my report?
Reports to moderators and to Reddit are not shown to users. A post that disappears can draw a comment, so we ask for removal of the whole thread where possible rather than one reply at a time, which keeps attention low.
How long does a forum removal take?
We start within 48 hours of your order, faster with larger packs. HardwareZone has statutory deadlines for harm notices; volunteer moderators sometimes act the same day, while operators and Reddit admins can take a week or more. We chase each link and report when it is gone or refused.
What if the thread only repeats a news article?
Then both need work: the thread under the forum’s rules, and the article through its editor. Removing the thread rarely helps if the article still ranks, so the assessment covers both and tells you which link to treat first.
