Remove your home address from Google in Singapore
When your block and unit number, condo name or office address appears on a forum, in a group post or on Google, NetClearer asks each site to delete it and asks Google to remove the results. Send the links for a free, confidential assessment. Removal is S$42 per link, fixed price, no extra fees.

Why an address matters more in a dense city
Singapore is small and well connected. A block and unit number is enough for anyone to reach your door within the hour, and in an HDB estate the whole corridor, the lift lobby and the coffee shop downstairs see who comes and goes. When an address is posted with your photo or name in a heated context, the risk is no longer online only.
Addresses rarely travel alone. A post giving your unit often adds your car plate, your children’s school or your workplace. If that is your case, our page on doxxing removal explains the extra steps.
Common places where addresses get posted
- Neighbour disputes escalated to Facebook estate groups or Stomp, with a photo of the corridor and the unit number
- Forum threads on HardwareZone or Reddit where users trace a person from a video to a block
- Marketplace disputes in which a Carousell buyer or seller publishes the other party’s meet-up or delivery address
- Telegram channels that compile personal profiles, sometimes of women targeted by an ex-partner
- Old documents: a scanned letter, a parcel label or an invoice shared online with the address visible
- Business pages of a home-based business you closed, still listing your flat as the shop address
Online Safety Commission or NetClearer?
An address posted to harass or humiliate you is doxxing: the OSC lists address, workplace and school among identity information, including that of your family. Citizens, PRs and valid pass holders can report it directly at report.osc.gov.sg, with proof of identity, screenshots with dates and times, and the URLs. It is free, and we recommend it. If you fear someone may come to your door, call the police on 999 first: POHA s 5(1A) specifically covers publishing identity information to cause fear of violence.
Use NetClearer when you also need search results cleared, when the address sits on a page posted without intent to harass (an old listing, a directory, a document), when copies have spread beyond the original post, or when you want someone to handle every report and follow-up for you.
Our steps to remove an address
- Free assessment. You send the links through the contact form or on Messenger. Within 24 hours we search your name and address for other pages and images, and quote a fixed price.
- Source removal. Private-information reports to platforms, requests to moderators, to Stomp’s editors and to the owners of directories or business listings, and notices to hosts when a site does not respond.
- Google removal. One request per URL under Google’s personal information policy, which covers home addresses, then a refresh request once the page has been edited, so the old snippet goes too.
- Verification. We confirm each result is gone or report the final decision. Action starts within 48 hours for one link; the 10-link pack (S$286) includes a removal report.
What the law offers and what it does not
Posting an address to cause harassment, alarm, distress or humiliation is an offence under POHA s 3(1)(c), and the Protection from Harassment Court can grant a protection order. When an organisation such as a management corporation (MCST), an employer or a shop publishes your address, the PDPA applies: you can withdraw consent, and it must stop retaining data it no longer needs (s 25). The PDPA does not apply to individuals posting in a personal capacity (s 4(1)(a)), and it has no right to erasure.
NetClearer is not a law firm. We cite these rules in our requests and tell you when a lawyer or the police is the better route.
Things we cannot change
- Official records and maps. Postal codes, building names and public registers stay online; we work on the pages that link them to you.
- Messages already received. Someone who saw the address in a private chat still knows it. Removing public copies stops it spreading further.
- Pages in the public interest, such as a court report, are rarely removed for an address alone; the OSC also excludes news reports on crimes and court proceedings from doxxing.
For other kinds of exposure, see all personal information removal services, or remove your phone number from Google.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give you my address?
Only so we can search for it and recognise it in results. It stays confidential and is never posted anywhere. If you prefer, send only the links where it appears and we work from those pages alone. We never need your passwords.
I have moved. Is it still worth removing my old address?
Usually yes. An old address still leads people to your family, your former neighbours or the next occupants, and confirms where you lived. A page tying your name to a past flat can still be reported, and the assessment tells you how each site is likely to respond.
How long does Google take to remove the result?
We file the request within 48 hours of your order, sooner with larger packs. Google often decides within days, sometimes longer when it asks for more details. We follow up each request and tell you the outcome.
Will my neighbours or the poster know I asked?
No. Privacy reports to platforms and Google are not shown to the poster, and we never contact your neighbours, your employer or the person involved. Your name is only used in a request if a site requires it, and we ask you first.
