Remove your home address from Google and the pages that publish it
When a post, directory or forum shows where you live, down to the estate, block, floor and flat, NetClearer asks the source to remove it, files Google’s request to drop the result and, if it is doxxing, the PCPD complaint with your written authorisation. HK$255 per link, fixed price with no extra fees; work starts within 48 hours.

Why an exact address is so exposing here
In Hong Kong, an address like “Block 3, 12/F, Flat B” leads straight to one door among thousands. Combined with an estate name, it lets anyone wait in the lobby, leave notes at the lift or put up flyers on your floor. That is why doxxing posts so often include the full address.
Addresses usually surface through a doxxing or debt post, a photo of a parcel label or a letter, an old company filing, a rental listing, or a people-search site copying any of these.
Do these first
- Take screenshots of every page with the address, with the date and the link.
- If someone has come to your building, left items at your door or threatened you, call 999 and tell your estate security.
- Remove photos from your own accounts that show your building, door number or delivery labels.
- If you are a company director, check what the Companies Registry shows about you (see below).
Removal routes for an address
| Where it appears | Route | Who decides |
|---|---|---|
| Doxxing post on Facebook, Instagram, Threads or X | Private-information report; PCPD complaint (Form OPS004) in parallel | The platform; the PCPD for cessation notices |
| LIHKG or other forum thread | Moderator report and a precise notice to the operator | The forum |
| Telegram public channel | abuse@telegram.org with the t.me links | Telegram |
| People-search or directory site | The site’s opt-out or removal form | The site owner |
| Google Search results | Personal information or doxxing form; outdated-content tool after a change at the source | Google, under its own policies |
Company directors: the Companies Registry change
Since 27 December 2023, directors of Hong Kong companies can replace their residential address on the public register with a correspondence address, and show only a partial identification number. This protects you for future searches of the register. It does not remove copies that third-party sites have already taken from older records: those need requests to each site and to Google, which is where we come in.
How we proceed
- Mapping: we search your name, the estate and the address in English and Chinese forms, and list every page showing it.
- Free written assessment with a fixed quotation per link.
- Source requests within 48 hours of payment, using the platform or site rule that fits best.
- Google requests for every result still showing the address.
- PCPD complaint prepared and filed with your written authorisation if the address was published to harass or threaten you. You remain the complainant and witness.
What we cannot change
- Public registers, such as land and company records, are kept by law; we cannot change them, only help with copies elsewhere.
- Flyers or writing on walls, doors and lift lobbies: report them to the police, the PCPD and your management office.
- An address you must publish yourself, for example as a business’s place of business.
- We do not take cases connected with politics or national security.
Price
HK$255 per link, HK$608 for three, HK$1,753 for ten with a removal report. When an address has spread widely, the 20-link pack (HK$3,074) adds monitoring for re-uploads. Fixed price, no extra fees, card payment through Stripe. See prices or go back to personal information removal.
Frequently asked questions
Does Google remove an address that is not part of doxxing?
Not always. Google removes contact details, including home addresses, mainly when they are shared to harm or harass. A neutral listing usually stays on Google until the source page changes. That is why we work on the site first, then ask Google to update or remove the result.
I moved. Is it still worth removing my old address?
Often yes, if it is linked to your name, because family members or the new occupants can be targeted, and old addresses help people find the new one. We assess each page and tell you honestly which are worth the fee and which you can leave.
Will you contact my estate management?
No. We never contact your management office, neighbours, employer or family. If you want security informed about flyers or visits, that is your decision, and we can give you a short factual summary of the online posts to show them.
Can the PCPD order removal of my address from overseas sites?
In doxxing cases, yes: cessation notices can be served on platforms outside Hong Kong. The PCPD decides whether the case meets the doxxing test. We prepare a complete complaint and, in parallel, report each page under the site’s own rules.
