Remove Agoda reviews that should not be there

NetClearer reports Agoda reviews of your Hong Kong hotel or guesthouse that fall under Agoda’s removal reasons: no-show guests, reviews meant for another property, duplicates, spam, profanity and personal attacks. You sign an authorisation and keep your YCS login to yourself. Work starts within 48 hours, HK$176 per review, fixed price, no extra fees.

Agoda’s reasons for removing a review

Agoda’s Partner Hub (partnerhub.agoda.com) lists the cases where a property can ask for a review to be taken down. A negative opinion alone is not one of them. The reasons are:

  • No-show: the guest never checked in but still reviewed the stay.
  • Wrong property: the review describes another hotel, often one with a similar name or in the same building.
  • Duplicate: the same guest reviewing one stay twice, or one text posted for several bookings.
  • Spam: adverts, links or meaningless text.
  • Profanity: obscene or vulgar language.
  • Personal attacks: insults aimed at a named staff member rather than comments on the service.

A guest who found the bathroom small or the corridor noisy has a right to say so. We tell you which reviews are in that category before any payment.

Why Agoda matters for Hong Kong hotels

Agoda is widely used by travellers from Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Korea, a large share of Hong Kong’s short-stay visitors. For a mid-range hotel in Jordan, Yau Ma Tei or North Point, or a guesthouse near Tsim Sha Tsui MTR, Agoda can bring in most of the online bookings. The review score is shown right next to the price, and a fall of a few tenths moves you down the list in a crowded district.

Wrong-property reviews are a real Hong Kong problem: several guesthouses can share one tower block and one street number, and a guest unhappy with the unit on the 9th floor sometimes reviews the one on the 14th. No-show reviews follow typhoon signals and flight cancellations, when guests who never arrived still receive the review invitation.

What the hotel can do itself

Through YCS or the Agoda partner app you can reply to reviews and submit a removal request for a review that matches one of the reasons above. Mark no-shows promptly in the system: a stay correctly recorded as a no-show is the best evidence later. Keep replies short and courteous, in English and, if the review is in Chinese, in Chinese too.

NetClearer’s process for Agoda

  1. Free written assessment: send the review links or booking IDs through the contact form. We match each review to Agoda’s reasons and give a fixed price.
  2. Signed authorisation: the property authorises NetClearer to act. We do not use your YCS account.
  3. Prepared request: the reason, the booking facts (no-show status, room type, building floor) and the exact wording. If the request must be sent from inside YCS, we give you the finished text to paste.
  4. Follow-up until Agoda answers and a short written result per review.

Price, timing and limits

HK$176 per review, HK$476 for 3, HK$1,312 for 10, fixed price, no extra fees, paid by card through Stripe. Work starts within 48 hours. Agoda makes the decision. We never write reviews, pay guests or pressure them to change a score. See also Booking.com reviews, Trip.com reviews and our review removal service.

Frequently asked questions

A guest cancelled because of a typhoon but still reviewed us. Can that go?

If the booking shows the guest never stayed, it is a strong no-show or cancellation case. We send Agoda the booking status and the date of the signal. Agoda checks its own records too. If the guest did arrive late and stay, the review counts as genuine.

The review is about the guesthouse two floors up. What do you need?

Your licence or address details showing your floor, photos of your reception and rooms, and the passage of the review that describes features you do not have. With those, a wrong-property request is clear and quick for Agoda to verify.

Can you raise our score?

Not directly. We only ask for removal of reviews that break Agoda’s rules. If fake or duplicated low reviews are removed, the average can change, but we never add reviews, buy them or ask guests to rate you. That would break Agoda’s rules and harm your listing.

Tell us what’s happening. We’ll take it from here.

Free, confidential assessment in writing. Send the links through the form: we reply within 24 hours with the route, the timeline and the fixed HK$ price.
