Remove unfair Trip.com reviews of your property
Trip.com is one of the most visited sites in Hong Kong and a main booking channel for visitors from the Mainland. NetClearer reports Trip.com reviews of your hotel, attraction or tour that are fake, abusive, off-topic or expose personal data. We act on your signed authorisation; work starts within 48 hours, at HK$176 per review, no extra fees.

Which Trip.com reviews can be reported
Trip.com publishes reviews from customers who booked through it, in Chinese and English, and moderates them under its own terms. Its detailed partner rules are not fully public, so we rely on the grounds every major travel platform recognises:
- No real stay or visit: a cancelled booking, a no-show, or a review clearly written about another property.
- Abusive content: insults, threats, discriminatory or obscene language aimed at staff.
- Personal data: names, room numbers, photos or contact details of staff or other guests.
- Off-topic text: complaints about immigration queues, the weather or a different business.
- Advertising or spam: links to other shops, repeated copy, promotional content.
- Pressure for compensation: a review used as a threat to obtain a refund or an upgrade.
A traveller who found the room smaller than expected or the breakfast limited is giving an honest opinion. That review stays, and we say so in the free assessment.
The Hong Kong picture on Trip.com
With the return of Mainland visitors, Trip.com and its Chinese-language sister app drive a large share of bookings for hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui, Causeway Bay and near the high-speed rail terminus, and for attractions, harbour cruises and day tours. Reviews are mostly in simplified Chinese, and a single detailed complaint can be read by thousands of travellers planning a short shopping trip.
Disputes typically follow overbooking during holiday weeks, a room-type change at check-in, or a tour that changed its programme because of weather. We read the reviews in Chinese and present the reason in a short, factual request.
Steps you can take for free
Reply to reviews through your Trip.com partner tools, in the language of the review where possible. If a review is clearly in breach, raise it with your Trip.com account manager or partner support, with the booking number and a one-line reason. Record cancellations and no-shows correctly in the system: they are your evidence later.
How we help
- Free written assessment of the reviews you send through the contact form, with a fixed quotation.
- Signed authorisation from the property or operator. We do not log into your partner account.
- A precise request per review with the booking facts and the passage concerned. Where Trip.com only accepts requests from the partner account, we give you the ready-to-send text.
- Follow-up and a written outcome for each review.
Price and limits
HK$176 per review, HK$476 for 3, HK$1,312 for 10. Fixed price, no extra fees, card payment through Stripe; work starts within 48 hours. Trip.com decides; honest criticism is not removed. Compare Agoda and Booking.com, or see all review removal.
Frequently asked questions
Do you handle reviews in simplified Chinese?
Yes. Most Trip.com reviews of Hong Kong hotels are written in simplified Chinese. We read them, identify the passage that breaks the rules and explain it in the request. You do not need to translate anything for us; just send the links or screenshots.
A tour changed its route because of a rainstorm warning. Is a review about that removable?
Usually not, if the customer took part and describes their own experience, even unfairly. If the review contains insults, staff names or a demand for money in exchange for removal, there is a ground. We tell you which case applies before you pay.
Is it worth acting on a single Trip.com review?
For a small hotel or tour operator with few reviews, one fake or abusive review weighs heavily on the score. For a large hotel, it may matter less. The free assessment helps you decide; we do not push requests that have little chance.
