Remove Glassdoor reviews of your Hong Kong company
NetClearer reports Glassdoor reviews of your Hong Kong company that break its Community Guidelines: a team head named and attacked, client or deal information disclosed, reviews by people who never worked for you. You sign an authorisation, we never use your Employer Center login. Work starts within 48 hours, HK$176 per review, no extra fees.

Reviews Glassdoor will remove
Glassdoor protects anonymous staff who describe their own job, however bluntly. Its Community Guidelines (help.glassdoor.com) still forbid certain content, and that is where a request can succeed:
- Named individuals who are not senior public figures: a desk head at a Central brokerage or the office manager of a 15-person firm singled out by name or by a title only one person holds.
- Confidential information: client names, deal terms, unreleased products, internal bonus pools or figures copied from a board paper.
- Not a real employee or candidate: someone writing on behalf of a friend, a competitor, or a recruiter with a grudge.
- Repeated or coordinated posting: the same person writing several reviews, or a group agreeing to post on one day.
- Threats, harassment or discrimination aimed at colleagues.
- Content unrelated to work: personal disputes, adverts, links.
Long hours, a poor bonus or an unpopular restructuring described by a real employee are opinions Glassdoor keeps. We tell you which reviews fall in that group, and we do not file weak reports on them.
Why it matters to Hong Kong employers
Banks, asset managers and law-adjacent firms in Central and Admiralty, hotel groups, retail chains and start-ups in Cyberport or Science Park all recruit from a market where candidates compare employers closely. Expatriate hires in particular check Glassdoor before an interview, and the company page often sits on the first page of Google for your name with “salary” or “culture”.
The risk peaks after a round of redundancies or a team move to another office: a cluster of one-star reviews appears in a week, and one of them names the head of the team in detail. Local candidates also read JobsDB company reviews, and gossip can move to a LIHKG thread. We handle each platform separately.
Flagging a review yourself
A free employer account lets you flag a review in the Employer Center: open the review, use the flag icon and explain the issue. Glassdoor limits how often the same review can be flagged, so a first report that only says the review is unfair can make a well-argued second one harder. A short, professional reply from HR is often worth more than a weak flag.
How we work on Glassdoor reviews
- Assessment in writing, free. Send the review links by the contact form. We sort them into reportable and not reportable and quote a fixed price.
- Authorisation, not access. An officer of the company signs a short authorisation. We are never added to your Employer Center.
- One precise report per review, citing the guideline and the exact words, with evidence such as an org chart extract showing the role named does not exist (personal data removed).
- Written outcome for each review once Glassdoor has decided.
Price and what the law does not do
HK$176 per review, HK$476 for 3, HK$1,312 for 10, fixed price, no extra fees, card payment via Stripe. Work starts within 48 hours; Glassdoor decides. Hong Kong law gives no general right to have a review erased, and a defamation action against an anonymous poster requires court steps first. NetClearer is not a law firm: for that route, consult a Hong Kong solicitor and see our page on defamatory posts.
Frequently asked questions
Can you find out which employee wrote the review?
No, and we advise against trying. Glassdoor keeps reviewers anonymous, and an internal hunt for the author can create a far bigger staff problem than the review itself. We only work on the content: whether it breaks a guideline, and how to present that to Glassdoor clearly.
A review names our head of operations. Is that enough?
Often it is a strong ground, especially in a small office where the title points to one person. Glassdoor allows criticism of senior leaders such as the chief executive, but not attacks on staff who are not public figures. We check the wording carefully before filing.
Does HR need to do anything during the process?
Very little. HR signs or obtains the authorisation and answers a few factual questions, for example whether a department mentioned exists. We file and follow up with Glassdoor, so your team does not spend time on the case.
