Remove URLs and images from Google search results in Hong Kong
A Google result shows your HKID number, your flat, intimate images or a page that has already changed? NetClearer matches each URL to the Google policy that fits, files the request, handles the source site where needed and follows up. Work starts within 48 hours, HK$255 per link, fixed price, no extra fees.

Google decides under its own policies
Google handles over 91% of searches in Hong Kong (StatCounter, June 2026), against about 3% for Yahoo and 3% for Bing. What appears under your name on Google is, in practice, what people see.
Hong Kong law has no right to be forgotten, and the Administrative Appeals Board confirmed in 2020 that the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance does not reach Google LLC (AAB No. 15/2019). Google removes results under its own global policies. A request succeeds when the result clearly falls within one of them, with the right evidence. Choosing the wrong form is the most common reason for a refusal.
Which Google route fits which problem
| Problem | Google route | What to provide |
|---|---|---|
| HKID number, bank details, login credentials | Personal information removal form | The URL, a screenshot, the data concerned |
| Mobile number, email or home address posted to harass | Personal information form, doxxing category | Evidence of the threat or harassment |
| Intimate images shared without consent, including AI-generated ones | Non-consensual explicit imagery form | URLs only, never the images themselves |
| Page changed or deleted, old snippet still showing | Outdated content removal tool | The URL; Google checks the live page |
| Content subject to a legal decision | Legal removal request | The decision, for example a court order or PCPD cessation notice |
De-indexing is not deletion. A result removed from Google stays on the source site and can still be found through a direct link, another search engine or a share. That is why we deal with the source where we can, before or alongside Google.
What Hong Kong clients bring to us
- Image results from adult tube sites or forums after a leak. RainLily found that 22.7% of the intimate images it dealt with in 2021–23 were on search engines.
- A doxxing post listing an estate, block and floor, picked up in Google from a forum thread or a Telegram mirror site.
- An old court-related article that still ranks for your English name.
- Directory and people-search pages copying your mobile number and company role.
- Snippets of pages already corrected, where Google still shows the old wording.
Specific Google problems we handle
Most Google requests start with the content itself. These services cover the main categories, with the source removal and the Google step together: your name on Google, your phone number, your address, intimate images and news articles.
The free routes, and what we add
Google’s forms are free and open to anyone. For intimate images, RainLily’s Take-Down Assistance helps victims free of charge, including with search engines. For doxxing, the PCPD can serve cessation notices on platforms, including those outside Hong Kong.
What NetClearer adds is method and follow-up: the right form for each URL, an evidence file Google can act on quickly, the source site handled in parallel, re-filing on another ground when a first request is refused, and a re-check for copies that surface after the first removals.
How we work
- Free written assessment. Send the URLs, or the search you typed, through the contact form. We say which policy fits each result, and which do not fit any.
- Source first where it helps. We report the page to the site or platform, so the Google result can be removed as outdated once the page changes.
- Google requests. We file under the correct policy with the evidence. Work starts within 48 hours.
- Follow-up. We track Google’s answers and respond to requests for more information.
- Report. You receive the status of each URL in writing.
Honest limits
- Google does not remove accurate, lawful news or public-interest content simply because it is unwelcome.
- We do not push results down with fake content or networks of sites: we file removal requests only.
- We do not handle political, national-security or public-interest content, and we never cite Hong Kong law as if it bound Google.
Price and discretion
HK$255 per link, HK$608 for 3 links (action within 36 hours), HK$1,753 for 10 links (within 24 hours, with a removal report), fixed price, no extra fees. A search showing ten results about you is one 10-link pack. Requests are filed in NetClearer’s name; we never contact your employer or family. See the pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
Does Google remove results because of Hong Kong privacy law?
No. The PDPO does not reach Google LLC, and Hong Kong has no right to be forgotten. Google decides under its own policies: personal information, intimate imagery, outdated content and legal removals. A PCPD cessation notice or a court order can support a legal removal request, but Google still makes the decision.
Will the page disappear completely?
Not through Google alone. De-indexing removes the result from Google Search; the page remains on its site. That is why we ask the site or platform to remove the content too where a policy allows it. Once the source is gone, the Google result usually follows.
How long do Google requests take?
Personal information and outdated content requests are often answered within days; legal and complex requests can take a few weeks. There is no deadline in Hong Kong law. We file within 48 hours of payment, faster with the larger packs, and tell you each decision.
Can you remove results from Bing and Yahoo as well?
Yes, on request. Bing and Yahoo together handle about 6% of Hong Kong searches, and both have their own removal forms. When the source page is removed, their results also drop over time. Each search engine request counts as one link.
