Remove Indeed company reviews that break its guidelines

When a review on your Indeed company page exposes a colleague’s private life, leaks internal details, makes unfounded criminal accusations or was written under pressure, NetClearer reports it to Indeed on your behalf. We act with your signed authorisation, never your login. RM92 per review, fixed price, no extra fees; work starts within 48 hours.

What Indeed does not allow in company reviews

Indeed keeps reviews anonymous and leaves them up unless they break its company review guidelines. The grounds that matter most for employers:

  • Personal details about someone outside their role: a supervisor’s marriage, health or home area in Shah Alam described in a review of the job.
  • Internal or non-public company information: unannounced plans, client lists, figures from internal reports.
  • Unlawful, threatening, abusive or defamatory statements, and discriminatory slurs.
  • Accusations of crimes: Indeed says its reviews are not the place to report crimes or illegal activity.
  • Paid or pressured reviews: Indeed removes reviews when there is evidence the writer was paid, or forced or pressured to post.

That last rule cuts both ways. If a manager asked staff to post five-star reviews before a hiring drive, Indeed can remove those too. We never post or buy reviews, and we advise clients not to ask employees for them.

Indeed reviews and Malaysian employers

Indeed is one of the job sites Malaysians use most, alongside JobStreet and the government’s MYFutureJobs. Its company pages collect reviews from factory operators in Senai and Kulim, retail and F&B crew in the Klang Valley, and call-centre staff in Kuala Lumpur. Reviews may be written in English, Malay or Chinese; the rules apply whatever the language.

Typical problem cases: a review claiming the company “does not pay EPF” written by someone who never worked there; a rival recruitment agency posting as an ex-employee; a review that names the HR executive and describes her family. Each one fits a specific guideline. If, on the other hand, contributions really are unpaid, no report will fix that, and we will tell you so.

Indeed reviews often appear next to Glassdoor reviews for the same company. JobStreet also publishes company reviews under its own community guidelines; send us those links and we assess them in the same free review.

The free report button, and its limits

Anyone can report a review on Indeed: click the three dots on the review, choose “Report review”, pick a reason and submit. Indeed says moderators remove violating reviews within one to two business days. It does not tell the person who reported what was decided, and the short reason menu leaves little room for evidence.

The Online Safety Act 2025 and an MCMC complaint are built for harmful content on large social platforms, not for company reviews. So the result depends on how well the guideline breach is shown to Indeed.

Our process for Indeed reviews

  1. Free assessment. You send the review links through the contact form. We say which reviews break which rule, and which are genuine opinions that should stay.
  2. Authorisation, not access. You sign a letter allowing us to act for the company. No login, no admin seat on your employer account, and nothing for you to file.
  3. Evidence-based report. We contact Indeed directly, quote the offending passage, name the guideline and add proof where it exists, for example that a job title or branch never existed.
  4. Tracking. We check the company page until a decision is made and send you a short report per review.

Law and limits in Malaysia

No Malaysian law gives a business the right to have a review deleted, and the PDPA 2010 contains no erasure right. A false review that damages your reputation may be defamatory, but identifying an anonymous writer means going to court first. The platform route is quicker for content that breaks Indeed’s rules. NetClearer is not a law firm and does not give legal advice; for court action, consult a Malaysian lawyer.

What it costs

RM92 per review, RM248 for 3, RM683 for 10. Fixed price, no extra fees, card payment through Stripe once you have approved the assessment. Work starts within 48 hours; Indeed makes the final decision. Other platforms: all review removal services, and Google reviews for your office or outlet listing.

Frequently asked questions

Can Indeed tell us who wrote the review?

No. Indeed keeps reviewers anonymous and only discloses identities under court orders or law enforcement requests. We do not try to identify the writer. Our work is to show Indeed that the content itself breaks its guidelines, which does not depend on knowing who posted it.

Is it a problem that a service reports the review, not us?

No. We act openly for the company under a signed authorisation and use Indeed’s normal rules. We do not create accounts, post replies in your name or ask staff to write reviews, which is exactly the behaviour Indeed penalises.

How long does Indeed take to decide?

We start within 48 hours of payment. Indeed says it removes violating reviews within one to two business days of a report, but cases that need evidence can take longer. We keep checking the page and tell you the outcome for each review.

Do you charge for reviews you cannot report?

No. The assessment is free and we only quote for reviews that break a guideline. For genuine negative reviews, we suggest a short, factual employer reply instead, which candidates often read more closely than the review itself.

Tell us what’s happening. We’ll take it from here.

Free, confidential assessment. Send the links through the form: we reply within 24 hours with the route and the fixed RM price.
