Remove a TikTok video or account about you
An exposé video, a stitch mocking you, a re-uploaded clip or an account posing as you on TikTok? NetClearer reports each video, comment and account under the matching TikTok rule, uses the deadlines of the Online Safety Act 2025, and hunts for re-uploads. From RM133 per link, fixed price, no extra fees; work starts within 48 hours.

Why TikTok matters most in Malaysia
TikTok has the widest reach of any social platform in Malaysia: its advertising audience counted about 30.7 million adults in DataReportal’s Digital 2026 report, more than Facebook or YouTube. Content moves fast because the feed pushes videos to strangers, not just followers. A clip filmed at a shop counter or a family argument can reach hundreds of thousands of viewers overnight, then return as duets, stitches, reaction videos and downloads on other apps.
The harm is well documented. The death of influencer Esha in July 2024, after sustained abuse on TikTok, led Parliament to add new harassment offences to the Penal Code (sections 507B to 507G, in force since 11 July 2025). MCMC figures for 2026 also show TikTok carried 39% of the scam content it asked platforms to remove.
TikTok is licensed: what the Online Safety Act gives you
TikTok received its platform licence from MCMC in January 2025, so the Online Safety Act 2025 applies to it in full since 1 January 2026. When you report a video in the app, TikTok must acknowledge the report within one hour and give an initial assessment within 12 hours. Content it judges harmful under the Act must be made inaccessible within four hours, and financial fraud and child sexual abuse material at once. If you disagree with the decision, you can ask for a review within 15 days, and you can also complain to MCMC at aduan.mcmc.gov.my.
In practice, results depend on the category chosen. Harassment, threats, sexual content, doxxing and scams fit the Act’s categories; a video that is embarrassing but not abusive often does not, and TikTok then decides under its Community Guidelines alone.
Which TikTok route fits your case
| What you see | Route | Our note |
|---|---|---|
| Video naming or mocking you, abusive comments | In-app report on the video and each comment: harassment and bullying | Report every stitch and duet too; each is a separate video |
| Your IC number, address or phone in a video or caption | In-app report for personal information; TikTok’s online feedback form if you have no account | Doxxing has been an offence under Penal Code s.507E since July 2025 |
| Account posing as you or your brand | TikTok’s impersonation report form | TikTok asks the person impersonated for proof of identity |
| Intimate images or a clip filmed without consent | In-app report plus StopNCII hash for adults | TikTok is a StopNCII partner; for minors, police first |
| Recording of a LIVE re-uploaded as a video | Report the new video under the matching rule | Downloads from LIVEs are a common source of re-uploads |
How we remove TikTok content
- Free assessment. Send the video or profile links (from Share, then Copy link) through the contact form or Messenger. We list what can come down, under which rule, and the price.
- Mapping. We look for the stitches, duets, reposts and copies on other accounts, plus Facebook and YouTube versions, so the clip does not survive elsewhere.
- Reports. We file each report in the right category, with timestamps showing the abuse or the private data, and the MCMC complaint when TikTok refuses content that fits the Act. When a form must come from you, such as an identity check, we tell you exactly what to send.
- Google and follow-up. We clear video thumbnails and pages that Google still shows, then check each link until it is gone. Packs of 20 links and more include monitoring for new uploads.
What we cannot do on TikTok
- Videos already saved on phones cannot be recalled. We remove public copies as they appear.
- Opinions and fair criticism of a business usually stay up; we tell you before you pay if a video has weak grounds.
- Direct messages are private and outside the Act; report them in the app and keep screenshots for a police report.
Price and discretion
One link costs RM133, fixed price, no extra fees, and work starts within 48 hours. A clip copied across many accounts is cheaper in a pack: 3 links RM316, 10 links RM912 with a removal report, 20 links RM1,600 with monitoring (all prices). We never ask for your TikTok password and never contact the creator, your family or your employer. See also viral post removal, fake account removal and the other platforms we handle.
Frequently asked questions
Will the creator know I reported the video?
No. TikTok does not tell creators who reported their content, and we never contact them. The creator may see that a video was removed for a rule breach, but not by whom. If a legal form ever requires your name, we explain why and ask you first.
The video has been stitched and reposted many times. Is it worth it?
Yes, if you act early. Each copy is reported on its own, and earlier removals help later reports in the same category. A 10 or 20 link pack covers the main copies; the 20 link pack adds monitoring for new uploads after the first wave.
How fast does TikTok remove a video in Malaysia?
Under the Online Safety Act, TikTok must acknowledge an in-app report within one hour and assess it within 12 hours, and make harmful content inaccessible within four hours. Clear cases often go the same day. We start within 48 hours of your order and chase the rest.
It is a video about my business. Can you remove it?
We can report videos that make false claims of fact, reveal staff members’ personal details, use your brand in a fake account or call for harassment. A customer’s honest bad experience usually stays. We tell you which category applies before you pay.
