Content removal by platform in Malaysia
Each platform has its own rules, report forms and proof requirements, and only some must answer within the Online Safety Act 2025 deadlines. Choose the platform where the post, video, profile or photo appears to see what NetClearer removes there, which report route applies, and what you can do for free.

Choose the platform
Content rarely stays on one platform. A TikTok exposé ends up in a Facebook group, a Telegram channel and a Lowyat thread within days. Start with the platform where it first appeared; we handle the copies under the same assessment.
Shaming posts in community groups, loan shark “funeral” posters, clone profiles and scam ads with your face: reported to Meta and group admins, then removed from Google.
Learn moreTikTok
Exposé videos, stitched clips, LIVE recordings and fake accounts on TikTok: reported under TikTok’s rules and the Online Safety Act clock, with re-uploads tracked down.
Learn moreTelegram
Leak channels, doxxing channels and bots selling private content on Telegram: we report each public link to Telegram and MCMC and remove the Google results that point to them.
Learn moreAccounts using your photos, exposé and confession pages, leaked stories and intimate images on Instagram: reported to Meta under the right rule, with copies and Google results cleared.
Learn moreAdult websites
Private videos re-uploaded to overseas adult and tube sites, often tagged with “Malaysia” or your name: we file site, host and Google removal requests for each copy.
Learn moreX (Twitter)
Reposted intimate clips, doxxing threads, AI-edited images and fake profiles on X: reported under X’s own policies, since X is not licensed under Malaysia’s Online Safety Act.
Learn moreYouTube video removal
YouTube videos, Shorts and comments that expose, defame or impersonate you: reported under the right YouTube policy, chased within Online Safety Act deadlines, then cleared from Google.
Learn morePosts and comments naming you on r/malaysia or other subreddits, including personal details or intimate images: reported to moderators and Reddit, then Google.
Learn moreLowyat.net
Lowyat forum threads that name you, show your number or accuse you in Kopitiam or buy-and-sell boards: we go to moderators and the operator, then Google.
Learn moreTinder profile removal
Fake Tinder profiles built with your photos, screenshots of your profile or chats posted elsewhere, and dating photos misused: reported to Tinder and removed where they spread.
Learn moreReport routes and Online Safety Act coverage

The Act excludes private messaging, and unlicensed services fall outside these deadlines, although any user can still complain to MCMC at aduan.mcmc.gov.my.
