Fake accounts we remove

  • Poser accounts: someone pretends to be you, with your name and profile photos
  • Dummy accounts built from your pictures under another name, often to scam, harass or catfish
  • Accounts that ask your friends for money, load or GCash transfers in your name
  • Fake pages and profiles of your business, used to collect payments or post false offers
  • Dating profiles made with your photos on Tinder, Bumble, Badoo, PinaLove or FilipinoCupid
  • Accounts of your child or of a family member created without consent

Each platform has its own rules, so we also have dedicated pages: remove a fake Instagram account, remove a fake TikTok account, remove a fake Tinder profile, remove a fake Badoo profile and remove a fake PinaLove profile. If the fake account posts about you rather than as you, see how we remove Facebook posts about you. For businesses, see fake shops using your business name.

Facebook poser and dummy accounts

Facebook is where most fake accounts in the Philippines appear. Meta lets you report a profile that is pretending to be you from the profile itself, and it also has an impersonation form for people who do not have a Facebook account or cannot log in. Meta reviews the report and removes the profile when it confirms the impersonation; it may ask the person being impersonated for proof of identity.

Dummy accounts are harder: they use your photos under another name, so “pretending to be me” may not fit. We then report them under Meta’s rules on fake accounts and on the use of your images, and when the photos are private or intimate, under its privacy and non-consensual imagery policies.

Instagram, TikTok and dating apps (Bumble, FilipinoCupid)

Instagram and TikTok both remove accounts that impersonate a real person, and both ask the person concerned, or a representative, to prove who they are. Instagram’s impersonation form asks for a photo of a government-issued ID.

Dating apps are where stolen photos often end up in romance scams. Bumble and FilipinoCupid let users report a profile from inside the app; when you do not have an account, we contact their support with your proof. The same approach applies to Tinder, Badoo and PinaLove, which have their own pages above.

Fake accounts by platform compared

The route and the proof change with the platform and with what the account does. You upload your ID yourself when a platform asks for it; we prepare everything else.

Proof platforms ask for

  • The link to the fake profile (not only a screenshot), plus the username
  • Screenshots of the profile, its photos and any message sent in your name
  • Proof of identity: platforms may ask for a government-issued ID. You send it through the platform’s own secure form; we prepare everything else
  • Your real account, if you have one, so the platform can compare
  • For a business: your DTI or SEC registration, trademark or official page

Never pay someone who offers to “hack” or mass-report the account. A report is judged on the rules it cites, not on the number of reports, and giving your login or ID to strangers puts you at risk.

How to remove a fake account

  1. Free assessment. Send us the links on Messenger or through the form. We confirm what can be done on each platform and the price before you pay.
  2. Report with the right ground. We file under impersonation, fake account, privacy or intellectual property rules, depending on what the account does, and prepare the evidence.
  3. Follow-up and escalation. If the first report is refused, we re-file with additional proof, through another form, or with a legal notice.
  4. Check for new accounts. Posers often come back under a new name. The 20 link pack and the monthly plans include monitoring.

When reports fail

Automatic reviews often reject a first report, especially for dummy accounts. A refusal is not the end: we change the ground, add documents, use the platform’s dedicated forms instead of the in-app button, and when the account is used for fraud, add the police report or the complaint number to the request.

Scams run from a fake account

When a poser asks your friends for money, warn your contacts at once from your real account and keep screenshots of every message. Report the scam to the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, the NBI Cybercrime Division or the CICC hotline 1326. Using someone’s identity online can fall under the Cybercrime Prevention Act (RA 10175), and misuse of your personal data under the Data Privacy Act (RA 10173). We are not a law firm and do not give legal advice, but we prepare an evidence file you can bring to the authorities.

What we cannot do

  • Identify who is behind the account. Only the platform, under a court or police request, can disclose that.
  • Remove accounts that only resemble you (same first name, a similar photo style) without using your identity.
  • Get back money already sent to a scammer. That is a matter for the police and your bank or e-wallet.

Frequently asked questions

Will the person behind the fake account know I reported it?

No. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and dating apps keep the reporter’s identity confidential for impersonation reports. The account owner sees only that the profile was removed for breaking the rules. Your ID, when a platform asks for it, goes only to the platform, never to the account owner.

How long does it take to remove a poser account?

We file within 48 hours of your order, faster with the larger packs. Many impersonation reports are decided within a few days; dummy accounts and refused reports take longer because we escalate with more proof. We report back on each account until it is removed.

Do I need to send you my ID?

No. When a platform asks for ID, you upload it yourself in the platform’s secure form, and we tell you exactly where and what to submit. We only need the links to the fake accounts and screenshots.

What if the fake account comes back?

Posers often create a new account after a removal. Send us the new link and we report it with the same evidence, which is usually faster the second time. The 20 link pack and the monthly plans include monitoring for new accounts.

How much does it cost to remove a fake account?

From ₱2,050 per account, taxes included. Several accounts are cheaper per link: ₱4,900 for 3 and ₱14,100 for 10. The assessment is free and you pay only once you know what we will report and how.
