Remove or correct a TravelGay review or listing
Your hotel, resort or bar appears on TravelGay with an unfair review, wrong details or an outdated description? NetClearer identifies what is editorial and what is user content, then asks TravelGay’s editors, with evidence, to correct or remove it. The editors decide. A TravelGay review removal or correction request starts at ₱1,400, taxes included.

Editorial content vs user reviews
TravelGay (and its regional site Travel Gay Asia) is an LGBTQ+ travel guide, not a booking platform with a guest extranet. A hotel page there usually mixes three things, and each is handled differently:
- Editorial text written by the TravelGay team: the description, “why Travel Gay loves it” notes and destination guides. Only the editors can change it.
- Listing data: address, star rating, facilities, photos, whether the venue is still open.
- User reviews, where a page shows them. They are moderated by TravelGay, not by you.
Contacting the editor
- Free assessment. You send the page link. We tell you what can realistically change and whether it is worth a request.
- Evidence. For a factual error: your business registration, current photos, renovation dates or a closure notice for an old address. For a review: why it breaks basic rules (abuse, personal data, a stay that never happened).
- Request. We write to TravelGay through its contact and change-request forms on behalf of your venue, as its authorised representative under a mandate letter you sign, in clear English, with one specific ask per item.
- Follow-up. We follow up until the editors answer and tell you the result.
Listing corrections
Most problems on TravelGay are not hostile reviews but old information: a resort that changed its name, a bar that moved, a description from before a renovation, or a “gay-friendly” claim the owner never made. TravelGay offers businesses a form to add a venue or request changes, and it invites readers to report closed or outdated venues. A precise, documented correction is usually the easiest request for an editor to accept. If you want a listing removed entirely, we ask, but the editors may keep a factual entry about a public venue.
Honest limits
- TravelGay also sells paid listing plans; we do not buy placements or negotiate advertising on your behalf.
- We cannot force an editor to change an opinion they hold about your venue.
- Low-volume site: one request is often enough, so we recommend the single-review price.
If the same stay was also reviewed elsewhere, see remove Booking.com reviews and remove Tripadvisor reviews. All platforms are listed on remove fake reviews; prices on content removal prices.
What we never do
- We never write reviews or ask friends or guests to post them.
- We never ask the editors to hide genuine criticism of a real visit.
Frequently asked questions
Is TravelGay worth a request at all?
For an LGBTQ+-friendly hotel, resort or bar, yes: TravelGay pages can appear in Google results for gay travel searches about Manila, Boracay or Cebu. A wrong address or an outdated description costs bookings. We tell you in the free assessment if the page is too minor to justify a request.
Can you remove our venue from TravelGay completely?
We can ask. The editors decide, and a guide may keep a factual entry about a public venue. If your reason is clear, for example the business closed or changed owner, removal or an update is more likely. We tell you honestly which outcome to expect.
What does it cost?
₱1,400 per request, taxes included. One request can cover several corrections on the same listing page. The assessment is free, and if we think the page does not need a request, we say so before you pay.
