Remove a Hotels.com or Expedia review

A review of your property on Hotels.com or Expedia contains personal data, offensive language or looks fraudulent? NetClearer checks it against the Expedia Group content guidelines, reports it to Expedia Group’s partner support on your behalf, and follows it up. Expedia Group decides. Removal starts at ₱1,400 per review, taxes included.

Expedia Group review guidelines: removal grounds

Hotels.com and Expedia publish near-identical content guidelines. Reviews are moderated by automated tools first, then by human moderators when a possible violation is detected. Both sites state that they do not remove reviews simply because they are negative. They may reject or remove a review when it:

  • contains personal data about another person, for example a staff member’s full name with personal remarks, a phone number or a room guest’s details;
  • is proven to be fake or fraudulent, such as a review by a competitor or by someone with no real stay;
  • is offensive, unlawful or contains prohibited content: insults, discrimination, threats or sexual content.

Expedia Group also says neither site edits reviews or responses on a partner’s behalf: a review is published, removed, or stays as written.

How we file the report with Expedia Group

  1. Free assessment. You send the review link or a screenshot from Expedia Partner Central, plus the itinerary number if you have it. We tell you which guideline applies, if any, before you pay.
  2. Evidence. We match the review to your reservation data and note exactly which sentence breaks which rule.
  3. Report. We contact Expedia Group’s partner support directly on behalf of your property, as its authorised representative under a mandate letter you sign. We never need your Partner Central login and are never added as a user.
  4. Follow-up. We answer any question from Expedia until there is a decision and report it to you. If Expedia asks the property itself to confirm something, we tell you.

Shared reviews across Expedia sites

Expedia Group shares verified guest reviews between its brands, so a review written after a Hotels.com booking often appears on Expedia too, and the other way round. For you this works in both directions: one harmful review can damage several listings at once, and one successful request can clear it from the shared pool instead of one site at a time. We check where the review shows before and after the decision and tell you what changed.

If Expedia Group refuses

When the review describes a real stay, even unfairly, Expedia Group keeps it. Partner Central lets you post a public response, and we write one that corrects facts calmly. If the same guest also posted on other booking sites, see Agoda review removal, remove Booking.com reviews, Trip.com review removal and remove Tripadvisor reviews.

What we never do

  • We never post, buy or incentivise reviews on Expedia Group sites.
  • We never pressure guests or offer them anything to edit a review.
  • Genuine negative reviews of a real stay stay up: we only use Expedia Group’s own grounds.

Hotels.com and Expedia are part of our service to remove fake reviews. Prices: ₱1,400 per review, ₱3,800 for 3, ₱10,550 for 10 (content removal prices).

Frequently asked questions

Is a Hotels.com review the same as an Expedia review?

Often, yes. Expedia Group shares verified reviews between its sites, so the same text can appear on both. We check each listing where the review shows, file one request for the review, and tell you afterwards which sites still display it, if any.

Can you prove a review is fake?

We can show facts that point to it: no matching reservation, details that describe another hotel, or a reviewer linked to a competitor. Expedia Group decides whether that proof is enough. We never claim a review is fake without evidence, because weak reports make the next request harder.

Do you need our Partner Central login?

No. We contact Expedia Group’s partner support directly on behalf of your property, under a mandate letter you sign naming us as your authorised representative. Your Partner Central account stays under your full control. If Expedia asks the property itself to confirm something, we tell you.

What does it cost?

₱1,400 for one review, ₱3,800 for three and ₱10,550 for ten, taxes included. The assessment is free and comes first: if no Expedia Group guideline applies, we tell you before you pay and suggest a public response instead.
